A voidsent hailing from the fallen Thirteenth, Vrai's form is reminiscent of what he once was: A Duskwight Elezen, albeit corrupted by the darkness that destroyed his home 10,000 years ago.Vrai's true lineage is that of House Laurestinus, an ancient bloodline of sorcerers adept in the art of thaumaturgy and destructive magic. His smile suits a fox’s mein more than a man’s. It splits his mouth too wide and makes his eyes shine a touch too bright. These are just a few of the small cracks in the feigned mask of humanity he wears, should one pay close enough attention to notice.

Charming, wily, and possessing a mischievous streak so dark it veers well into the realm of viciousness, Vrai has accepted every facet of what it means to be a voidsent. He inserts himself into narratives which require a villain, serves as an instigator to conflicts on the Source, and pulls the strings of heroes all in a bid to stave off the boredom that comes with his immortal life. For thousands of years he’s occupied himself with feigned dramatism, dancing upon a stage of his own making and laughing all the while.Vrai only makes himself known to exceptional mortals, and he does so with a veneer of charm and allure. He weaves suggestion with fine eloquence, each statement punctuated by terms of endearment and promises of greatness both. But no matter how kind he may seem, it is all a ploy to figure out how to best tear someone apart. When all entertainment is wrung from his victim, he casts them aside in the cruelest and most reprehensible of ways.A terribly ancient being, Vrai both gives respect and demands it. He speaks and carries himself as though the world waits for him, and in the halls of his expansive domain it does indeed. He is especially proud of the wisdom he’s accrued over his long life, and is always willing to share his knowledge to those he holds in high esteem. Beneath his sadism belies a man driven by intense curiosity. Questions about the stars on high have fascinated him for centuries, and he plans to answer them one by one. His thirst for aether is rivaled only by his desire to understand the world around him, a trait which long predates his fall to darkness.Never shall he reveal this to anyone, not even under threat of eternal death, but Vrai longs for the bygone days before he became a voidsent. He misses the sun on his face and longs for the love he once felt. He looks at the mortals of other worlds with extreme intrigue and extreme jealousy.Perhaps it would be most accurate to call Vrai the very embodiment of malice, as he finds the greatest delight in damning others to regret and hopelessness, just as he is forever trapped in the wheel of undeath.

FACTS
Vrai's domain is an island above what once was the Frontier. Comprising of a vast snowfield and a shadowed castle, its existence is made possible only by his magic. Several fail-safes have been created in the event of his "death," most notably the destruction of the entire domain in a fiery blaze. Nobody is allowed to have his treasures. Nobody!
Similar to Zero's domain, Vrai's territory has become something of a safe-haven for weaker voidsent. Unlike Zero however, Vrai embraces his ruling over those of the lower rungs and demands due respect. Treachery results in immediate expulsion from the domain, or worse. (Beyond that, he is very apathetic to the goin-ons within his own court. So long as he remains undisturbed, they may do as they please.)
Vrai commands two coeurls, Phobos and Deimos. They are extensions of him, yet not, serving as his eyes when he himself cannot leave the domain for whatever reason. It would be more apt to call them his familiars.
Aside from Phobos and Deimos, he also commands Gertrude, a monstrous behemoth who guards the snowfields. Vrai likens Gertrude to a convenient pet, as she often consumes would-be usurpers before they even reach the castle.
Vrai wields a scythe in battle. He mostly uses Tantalus to channel black magic, rather than inflict damage with the blade itself.

Vrai's second-in-command, ensuring the domain runs apace when Vrai's flights of fancy on the Source distract him. Morgan is also responsible for maintaining the status quo within the Court itself, taking almost twisted delight in keeping the wretches beneath him in line.A powerful voidsent in his own right, Morgan and Vrai share an odd relationship amongst their kind. Rarely do two voidsent of such strength cohabitate within the same domain, let alone possess the loyalty they appear to have for one another. By all accounts, Morgan should have attempted to oust Vrai entirely from his own Court, but he appears satisfied, if not indifferent to the idea of acquiring more dominion for himself.With the context of their shared history, in truth Morgan and Vrai's relationship has decayed to one of mere symbiosis and convenience. It is not out of kindness that Morgan has stayed by Vrai's side for thousands of years, but begrudging familiarity. Indeed, the true reason why Morgan remains is because he believes Vrai to be the only being capable of returning "Lilith" to her former self, as his magical ability surpasses that of anyone he's ever known.This has proven to be a test of restraint, and once Morgan's patience runs out, disaster is certain to fall upon the domain (and Vrai himself.)

The center of Vrai's attention is a terrible place to be. No mortal knows this truth more than Etienne, the Warrior of Light upon the Source. Etienne drew Vrai's gaze during the Redbills' investigations aboard the Void Ark, with Vrai subsequently making himself known to him following the events at the Weeping City of Mhach.Vrai found Etienne to be an exceptionally dull mortal, a shell without will and at the mercy of his handlers. Nevertheless, with the Shadow Queen dead at Etienne's hand and Diabolos' essence scattered to the east, Vrai forced his Mark of Watching upon him, branding him for future surveillance. Intrigued solely by his strength and the curious nature of his fractured soul, Vrai now had a front row seat for all of Etienne's subsequent adventures. Etienne resented Vrai for this transgression, and so Vrai offered him an ultimatum:“Diabolos yet lives on in this world. Destroy him once and for all, and perhaps I will free you from my watchful gaze."
